NetworkManager – set route metric

Get current metric:

1	$ ip route

Get list of your connections with their UUIDs:

1	$ nmcli connection

Set an appropriate metric for your connection:

1 2	$ nmcli connection modify YOUR_CONNECTION_NAME ipv4.route-metric 50 $ nmcli connection modify YOUR_CONNECTION_NAME ipv6.route-metric 50

Make sure that metric was set properly for the specified connection:

1	$ nmcli connection show YOUR_CONNECTION_NAME

P.S. To avoid unnecessary headaches, try to keep away from using NetworkManager on your server hosts 😉
